High-quality elaichi sourced directly from the Western Ghats of Kerala and Karnataka. Known as the "Queen of Spices" for its exquisite aroma and flavor.
Discover the spice that has been prized for centuries for its unique aroma and medicinal properties
Cardamom, often called the "Queen of Spices," is one of the world's most expensive spices by weight, surpassed only by saffron and vanilla. Native to the evergreen rainforests of Southern India, particularly the Western Ghats, chotti elaichi has been cultivated for both culinary and medicinal purposes for thousands of years.
Our chotti elaichi is grown in the ideal conditions of Kerala and Karnataka's high ranges, where the cool climate, altitude (600-1500m), and well-distributed rainfall create perfect growing conditions. The plants thrive under the shade of tall forest trees, which helps develop their complex flavor profile.
What sets our aromatic apart is the traditional harvesting and processing methods. The pods are hand-picked just before they ripen to ensure maximum aroma and oil content. After harvesting, they undergo careful drying in specially designed curing chambers to maintain their vibrant green color and essential oil content (minimum 4%). The result is premium quality cardamom with 8mm+ pod size and uniform color that commands premium prices in international markets.
